2018 Winter Season Coaches!

Updated Thursday January 25, 2018 by Full Gospel Church Softball League .

FGCSL Coaches,

It is that time again! Time to strap on the cleats, limber up the gloves and grab those bats for another great season starting this Saturday, January 27th. I want to thank each of you for your commitment and dedication to the league and for helping us turn the tide in trying to get back to 24 and possibly 32 teams this year! We could not do this without your team's and church's support.

There has been some questions about the next Coaches meeting. After a lot of deliberation, the Board is proposing to do a mid-season coaches meeting. This is partly due to the Holiday chaos and a lot of sickness going around. But, mostly it is because we feel that we came out of the Fall season with a lot of positives for the league and how that season transpired. That is a testament to everyone's engagement and working to help improve the league and the overall attitude of what we are trying to accomplish while enjoying the game of softball. Thank you and your team members for partnering with us to improve what we are doing!!

With that being said, we will be scheduling the next Coaches meeting after the midway point of the Winter season. Our focus in that meeting will be the current season (positives/concerns/issues), tournament format, opinions about last fall's double elimination tournament, the Spring season (which will start almost immediately after the Winter season), etc.

We look forward to seeing everyone out there starting this weekend. If you have any questions or concerns, please be sure to track down a Board member at the park or contact me via email or phone at any time.

In Christ,

Kevin Johnson
President - FGCSL
